A straight metal bar appears to bend, going impossibly through two cereal boxes.

In this illusion, only background is changed, it appears the rectangles are moving.
In this illusion we just change position of the yellow circle (the eyes are not changed at all), it appears the eyes look in different directions. It does not change direction if we look at the eyes.
Explanation: This illusion relates to our memory, depend on position of the eyes on face, the direction will be different.
When the circle appears then you perceive the square is curved into center.
Look at the moving rectangle, you will perceive its width is changing, but fact is it is constant.
Explanation: the contrast between grey with purple is stronger than the darker grey with purple, and they are alternative changing so they make the width of the rectangle changes.
Gaze your eyes at the black circle. You will perceive the red ellipse is changing angle to horizon and moving on curved route. However it is not changing angle to horizon and moving in a straight line.
Explaination:It may be from transition from the central visual system to the peripheral visual system.
See the video, it will surely make you feel that the things around you are also carving in and out.
A short animation that can be viewed in 3D without glasses
