I can read it also. I believe the description should read the first and last LETTER are correctly placed… Are there other examples of this type of puzzle, such as for elementary students? Is this an optical illusion or what explains this ability to read this – or not being able to read this?

According to the research at cambridge University it doesn’t matter what order the letters are in a word are, the only important thing is that the first and last letter be in the right place the rest can be a total mess and you can still read it without a problem.This is because the Human mind does not read every letter by itself. but the word as a whole.
To those of you who can’t read it, i have a certain mind disease that makes me be able to read the hardest jumbled up words, the first and last letters do not have to be put in the right place either. I am very good at reading words like Difficulty jumbled up so it looks like so. ifcfdiuytl.

I don’t think this is an accurate theory as it is difficult to understand a single word such as ‘ablumcnae’(ambulance). I believe that if a word is in a paragraph or sentence with context it is easier for our mind to understand it.
